The Amsterdam District Court has granted a moratorium on payments to J.M. Levarht & Zonen B.V. (Levarht). Mr. M.R. van Zanten of CMS Derks Star Busmann is appointed as administrator.

Levarht is a wholesaler in fruit and vegetables that is engaged in the purchase and sale of fruit and vegetables all over the world. Levarht currently employs approximately 290 employees.

Together with the administrator, it will be examined whether it is possible to continue the business activities. Levarht's activities will be continued as much as possible in the intervening period.

The court has announced a cooling-off period. During this period, suppliers cannot exercise any rights. The administrator will first have to form an idea of the size of the estate and the rights that various creditors have therein.
